Our Story
WhisperWall began with a simple but powerful observation: in an increasingly connected world, many people still feel profoundly alone in their struggles. Our founder, Akila Wedasinghe, experienced this disconnect firsthand after going through a difficult period in his life and finding it challenging to express his feelings to those around him.
In February 2025, Akila began developing a platform that would allow people to express themselves authentically without fear of judgment. His vision was to create a space where voice messages could provide deeper emotional connection than text alone, allowing people to truly hear and understand one another's struggles.
What started as a simple voice messaging platform quickly evolved into something more meaningful. The concept of anonymous voice sharing with optional AI support was designed to create a safe environment where people could be vulnerable while still feeling protected.
Today, WhisperWall is at the beginning of its journey. As a new platform, we're focused on building features that create meaningful connections and support between users. Our fundamental purpose is clear – to ensure that everyone has a place where their voice matters and they're never truly alone.
